I’m not crying, you’re crying! A-list lovers Katy Perry and Orland Bloom have just had their first bebe, a daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom.
Pop star Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have welcomed their first child into the world, a daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom.
The announcement was made by UNICEF – for which the pair both act as Goodwill Ambassadors.
Taking to Twitter, UNICEF revealed the news and congratulated the couple.
Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and Orlando Bloom’s new bundle of joy.

Attached to the post was an accompanying statement from the couple, which described that they are “floating with love and wonder” after the “safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”
Continuing on, the pair acknowledged that not everyone is as lucky as them to have a smooth birth, citing the statistic that every 11 seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies.
“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every 11 seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies.”@KatyPerry & Orlando Bloom

The couple then revealed they had set up a UNICEF donation page, through which people could help support “a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child.”
I really love that they made the announcement this way and wish more people were understanding of the fact that it’s intentional to raise awareness to this important organization. Both Katy and Orlando are UNICEF Ambassadors, they’re bringing Daisy into the world with compassion.
