Iggy Pop and Jarvis Cocker have collaborated on a cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ classic Red Right Hand. The rendition is set to be the new theme song for season 4 of BBC show, Peaky Blinders (to replace Cave’s original).
The series has already began to air in the UK, but the track has been unveiled today on streaming services ahead of its upcoming release on Netflix.
Jarvis Cocker and Iggy Pop channel Queens of the Stone Age on a cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ classic Red Right Hand.
The cover stays true to the original with its dark, menacing swells, but take on a little more swagger with some sludgy guitar work and growling lead lines that wouldn’t be of place on a Queens of the Stone Age record.
