Famed English rock guitarist Jeff Beck and Hollywood actor Johnny Depp have decided to team up as a musical duo.
The pair have just released their first track, and fittingly, it’s a cover of none other than John Lennon‘s Isolation.
Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp are teaming up to release music and they’ve started with a cover of John Lennon’s Isolation, with more on the way.
As you’d probably guess, the track features Beck on guitar and Depp on vocal duties. Beck’s longtime collaborators have also joined in for the recording, with Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and Rhonda Smith on bass.
Funnily enough, the track was actually recorded in a studio session last year, but the pair felt that now was an appropriate time to release it.
“We weren’t expecting to release it so soon but given all the hard days and true ‘isolation’ that people are going through in these challenging times, we decided now might be the right time to let you all hear it,” Beck described in a statement.
“Hope it helps you make sense of the moment or just helps you pass the time as we endure isolation together,” Depp adds.
