Brace your funny bones for the upcoming edition of Just For Laughs Sydney

The world’s biggest comedians are gearing up for the 2023 edition of Just For Laughs Sydney, which takes to venues across the city early next month.

No matter race, creed, colour or religion, there’s at least one thing we can all agree on, and that’s the importance of a good, hard-earned laugh.

Comedy has long been the much-needed antidote to many of society’s ills, offering a welcome reprieve in challenging times — which only seem to be getting more challenging these days.

Just For Laughs Sydney 2023

Thankfully, the folks at Just For Laughs have found their way to our collective funny bones, with the announcement of the imminent Sydney edition of the beloved comedy festival.

The 2023 instalment of Just For Laughs Sydney will kick off on November 12, and promises a week-long fit of hilarity with a program chock-full of some of the world’s biggest comedians.

Now in its eleventh year, Just For Laughs Sydney boasts its starriest lineup yet, with comics poised to grace stages across the city from Qudos Bank Arena to Enmore Theatre, and the Comedy Store, among many others.

Joining this year’s lineup is American comedian and TikTok powerhouse Catherine Cohen, Scottish stand-up legend Kevin Bridges, and ventriloquist Nina Conti.

They are joined on the bill is The Cheap Seats and Have You Been Paying Attention? star Melanie Bracewell, who will host the Just For Laughs Australia Live shows.

These will take place across three nights within the festival’s run, with more than 30 of Australia’s biggest comedians — including Jimeoin, Tom Cardy, Tommy Little and more — stealing the spotlight for a comic extravaganza filmed exclusively for Network 10.

Elsewhere, Just For Laugh Sydney’s crown jewel for 2023 will be the All-Star Gala, which will be hosted by Urzila Carlson. The gala event is a must-see item on the festival’s itinerary, selling out in previous years and this year boasting a lineup that includes Conti, Dara O Briain, Dilruk Jayasinha, Joanne McNally and Russell Kane, among others.
