The voting has opened for the world’s biggest music poll, triple J’s Hottest 100, and they’ve given us a truly epic trailer to mark the occasion.
We’ve seen a few clever videos to promote the annual countdown, but this one may well take the cake. Breakfast hosts turned detectives Matt and Alex are tasked by their captain Alison Wonderland to investigate a string of artist kidnappings and solve the mystery of who is behind the conspiracy.
Among several standout moments we get to see Courtney Barnett drag race The Rubens, Peking Duk escape an exploding building, Daniel Johns face off in a high stakes poker game against Ice Cube and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker at the mercy of a laser a la Goldfinger.
