Kita Alexander’s new anthem “Queen” reminds us that we should dance like no one’s watching, but really dance like everyone’s watching, especially when you’re feeling like a superstar.
In a year where we all need a little extra boost of confidence and self-love, Kita Alexander has arrived with her empowering new anthem “Queen.” The Australian singer-songwriter’s latest release marks a new chapter in her career, as it’s the first taste of her highly anticipated debut album, which is yet to be announced.
“Queen” is a vibrant dance-floor ready track that perfectly showcases Kita’s signature blend of introspective lyrics and upbeat pop melodies. The inspiration behind “Queen” is relatable for many of us who have felt self-conscious about our dance moves at some point in our lives.
Kita confesses, “My dilemma with that was that I don’t think I can dance. I’m self-conscious about the length of my limbs and find it very hard to loosen up on the dance floor or in front of anyone for a matter of fact.” However, during her husband’s absence while he was away for the Olympics, Kita found herself dancing alone in the kitchen and discovered her inner superstar. She explains, “This song is all about feeling like a superstar when you’re all alone.”
To celebrate the release of “Queen,” Kita Alexander will be hitting the road for her debut headline tour, aptly titled “The Self-Titled Tour.” Fans can expect to hear all of Kita’s hits and fan favorites, as well as some of her new music. The tour is a chance for Kita to connect with her fans and share her infectious energy in person.
With “Queen,” Kita Alexander proves that she is a force to be reckoned with in the pop music scene. Her vulnerability and honesty shine through in the lyrics, while the catchy melodies and infectious beats will have you dancing along in no time. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with her upcoming debut album.
