LeBron James has revealed the title of his Space Jam sequel, which will arrive in theatres in 2021.
Space Jam: A New Legacy will succeed the beloved 1996 original, and provides NBA fans with at least a modicum of excitement during the competition’s suspension.
LeBron James has revealed the title of his Space Jam sequel through a casual Instagram post. Space Jam: A New Legacy will screen arrive in theatres in 2021.
The title was treated to a hilariously brusque reveal, with LeBron conveying the message via a boomeranged Instagram post. It simply features a cap with the title embroidered onto it. King James didn’t even take the liberty of flipping the footage, with the text reading backwards as a result. Meanwhile, the caption simply says “2021” and precedes a flurry of emoji’s, including a nod to Bugs Bunny with a stick of carrot and a rabbit’s face.
Warner Bros. made the sequel announcement back in 2014, with production getting underway last year. LeBron is set to follow the footsteps of the legendary Michael Jordan, who starred in the original version.
Further details are currently scarce, but the sequel is also said to feature NBA big-shots Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis and Damien Lillard.
