For many, family isn’t something you’re born into.
Levi’s history of LGBTQ+ support extends right back to the 1950s when they first removed segregation of workers before law, and they’ve actively campaigned for LGBTQ+ rights ever since. Through the Pride 2019 collection Levi’s are shining a spotlight on chosen families and their power of support, unity and love. The overall message of this year’s collection: togetherness.
For Pride 2019 Levi’s have launched a limited edition collection in support of the LGBTQ+ community, with 100% of net proceeds going towards OutRight Action International.
Each year Levi’s release a limited edition range in support of the LGBTQ+ community with a different theme, with proceeds going towards different partner organisations helping the cause. For 2019, all net proceeds will be given to OutRight Action International – an organisation working to advance human rights for LGBTQ+ people all over the world. Other mission statements of the organisation include educating social influencers including journalists, police officers and other community leaders, and advancing equality within international and regional decision-making bodies, such as the United Nations.
Inspired by the Bay Area Queer Skate Movement, the designs take on a ’70s retro skate vibe. This collective was created to offer a safe space to those who felt pushed out by the scene’s masculine culture, and create a more accepting environment for queer and POC artists, skaters and outsiders.
Not only does the collection look good, but you’ll feel great knowing that with your purchase you’re supporting an amazing cause and being a part of something bigger.
The collection is available in stores and online now.
