Head down to Sydney’s favourite tiny, sweaty, grimy and at times downright pleasant live venue Brighton Up Bar tonight to catch locals Raindrop, Adelaide’s Glass Skies, Gypsies of Pangea and Grand Oyster Palace. Open up your mind with your pupil dilator of choice and be prepared for a night of expansive, fuzzy music as well as live painting from artists Sindy Sinn and Mike Watt.
Raindrop, for those of you who have been kept in the dark, are a deep psychedelia foursome who aren’t afraid to take a jam into the stratosphere. Synthesisers, unstoppable drums and vibrating reverberations are all on the menu at a Raindrop show. Supports Glass Skies make sideburn fuzzwah rock, while Gypsies of Pangea and Grand Oyster Palace haven’t been kicking around long but produce mind bending tunes that belie their experience.
Set Times are below, tix are $10, capacity is super limited, so get down early and have a beer at the Brighton proper. It’s cheap.
