Lou Reed‘s lyric book, I’ll Be Your Mirror: Collected Lyrics is set for a reissue from Faber & Faber. The book, which has been out of print for several years, will also feature intros from the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, electronic music pioneer and Reed’s widow Laurie Anderson and James Atlas.
The reissue will also include the lyrics to Reed’s final album, Lulu, a collaboration album with Metallica. Despite dividing fans of both Reed and Metallica, David Bowie claimed Lulu to be arguably Reed’s best work to date.
An updated reissue of Lou Reed’s lyric book, I’ll Be Your Mirror: Collected Lyrics, has been announced by Faber & Faber, set for release on November 7th.
To go along with the standard hardback copies, there will be 250 copies made available in a “reversed colour design printed on high gloss, reflective silver mirror paper, black cloth slipcase, and a facsimile pamphlet of previously unpublished handwritten lyrics from ‘Sally Can’t Dance‘.” This edition will be available for $120.
The updated reissue is due to be released on November 7th. It will be available in hardback trade edition, ebook and limited edition from Faber & Faber.
