Love funny animals? Laugh your ass off to these 13 portraits of wild critters from The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards

We love funny animals. Whether they’re cats getting spooked by cucumbers or cats shaking in slow motion, any time a critter is acting like a goose (metaphorically), you can be sure that mankind are putting their skills to use and capturing those moments on film. Thankfully, there is now an association dedicated to finding and celebrating those moments with the inaugural The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

Entrants were invited from around the world to enter their photographs into the competition. An initiative spearheaded by photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks, The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards encourages a love of wildlife and the need to preserve their habitats, which is why the awards are partnered with the legends from the Born Free Foundation.

The winner of the 2015 awards was Rush Hour, a portrait of a puffy cheeked gerbil making a dash, photographed by Julian Rad.
