Madonna’s viral “I’m Gay” TikTok video has sent fans into a frenzy: “Did I just witness Madonna coming out?”
Just yesterday, Madonna sparked a worldwide debate as to whether or not she has officially “come out” as gay, all thanks to a five-second TikTok video, which has now amassed 21.7 million views. The clip features the pop star, holding a pair of pink undies, with text on the screen that reads, “If I miss, I’m Gay!”
Madonna then proceeds to throw the underwear in the direction of a trash can, and subsequently misses. The now-viral video has been met with a flurry of both confused and supportive comments, with one TikTok user writing, “did I just witness Madonna coming out, good for her.”
The Like a Virgin hitmaker, who is a known ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, has already been presumed bisexual for over 20 years. Back in 1991, during an interview with the Advocate, Madonna said, “everybody has a bisexual nature.” This fact is pointed out by a TikTok user, @thejockscientist, in the comments section: “Madonna has been an out bisexual for literally decades my dudes.”
