Sydneysiders, it’s time to pick up your Sunday recovery game. Kings Cross Hotel are kickstarting spring in style with their newest day party – Rooftop Recovery Sundays.
Launching on September 1st, KXH is partnering with IGNiTE events, bringing you their newest venture of SUNDAY SOCIAL; providing you with a fresh selection of tunes each Sunday from spring through summer. Not only will there be plenty of disco tunes to get grooving to, but there will also be heaps of mouthwatering food and drink specials that’ll tantalize your tastebuds.

The launch event kicks off on Sunday the 1st of September at 12pm, and what better way to start than with a 2-hour recovery happy hour. This happy hour is no ordinary one, it’s designed to make you forget about the morning’s hangover and get you into the swing of things. The drink menu includes a range of speciality Bloody Marys, plus all of your favourite cocktails, spritz, wine & beer.
Bloody Marys certainly are, in my personal experience, the greatest hangover cure, but no hangover can be completely cured without a nice succulent meal. Enter head chef Simon’s special rooftop smoker menu. The American-style menu features corn on the cob, fried chicken, and more. There’s also hot dogs, stuffed with your choice of slow-cooked and smoked meats, halloumi and more. Perfect for a Sunday sesh, this high-quality menu is easy to share or treat yourself.
After the Bloody Marys and hot dogs have cured your hangover, it’s time to get moving. With DJ’s on rotation from 2pm til late, this is where the real party begins. Sunday Social will be delivering an eclectic mix of disco, garage music, classic vocal and Chicago house. There will be no shortage of good vibes on the dancefloor as you groove away into the sunset. Rooftop Recovery is the perfect way to let your hair down one last time before the workweek begins.
