ManaLion’s new album Nothing II Lose is a bold exploration of sound

For the past number of years, Sydney-based duo ManaLion have honed their sound into something unlike anything else currently making the rounds. It’s a cosmic blend of sounds that will swirl around your head before landing deep in the marrow of your bones. From here, you’ll be left with no choice but to groove.

Today, the band have unveiled their spectacular second full-length album Nothing II Lose… and if you haven’t already listened to this band, we strongly recommend you start now.

Nothing II Lose, the latest album from Sydney-based duo ManaLion, is an adventurous exploration of sound that defies all limitations of genre.

Throughout the new album, ManaLion cruise through a hallucinatory concoction of reggae, pop, soul, R&B, rock, and psych to craft a sound uniquely their own. Made up of members ‘Mondo’ and ‘Duan & Only’, the band weave together rich instrumentation with infectious vocal hooks.

Simultaneously spacey and grounded, Nothing II Lose is an adventurous exploration of sound. Over the course of its 42-minute duration, the album travels in myriad sonic directions, never sitting in one place for too long. The result is one of the most exciting listening experiences we’ve come across in some time.

Nothing II Lose is the latest in a string of consistently great releases from ManaLion, and judging by everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality material from this Sydney duo in the near future.
