Matt Corby is no stranger to live performance. His solo, acoustic profile lends him perfectly to balcony performances and impromptu gigs. One of his official videos has already seen him tearing through Soul’s A Fire live in studio and it seems the format works for him, all the more so after watching his new video for Monday.
Corby wrote and recorded Monday in cottage in Berry, NSW, so it only seemed fitting the crooner would return there to record a video for the track; live in one take, of course. The clip has a sombre tone – befitting to a Winter spent in a wooden cottage in a rural town, away from civilisation (or so Corby’s appearance might dictate) – focusing on what Corby does best, singing.
