Sydney’s Matt Fioravanti has been kicking serious goals in the recording industry. We caught up with the man himself to chat about pursuing a career in sound engineering.

I’ve been working in audio for about two years now, as an engineer. But for about three years before that I’ve been working as a session musician.

Having begun his sound engineering journey at JMC Academy’s Sydney campus, Matt now freelances and works as an in-house engineer at A Sharp Recording Studios in Sydney.

It really opened the door for me,” Matt says of his time at the college.

I met a lot of people while studying – a lot of different producers, musicians, videographers. Artists from multiple different genres with multiple different personalities.

Matt’s college JMC Academy are currently accepting applications for their February, June and September intakes in 2019.
