Pursuing a career in a creative industry can be a tough ask. Yet Tom Fletcher and Liam Mahoney from Teel Studios are out here opening their own studio space and directing film clips for some the country’s best acts.
So how did they get to this point? We caught up with the two gentlemen to find out.
Ahead of the opening of their new studio space, we caught up with Tom and Liam from Teel Studios to chat pursuing a career in a creative industry.
Having originally met one another during their time at JMC Academy, Tom and Liam have been working in the creative industry for years.
“Individually, we’ve both been working… or have had been doing as a hobby for as long as we can remember,” they say, “but in the last two or two-and-a-half years, we’ve started really working professionally and started our company Teel.”

To date Tom and Liam have worked with Manu Crook$, White Blanks and others, with yet-to-be-released projects from Dofu, Nyxen Kwame on the cards. Teel Studios have also produced content for Boost, General Pants, and more.
With the opening of their new space in Wollongong, undoubtedly one of Australia’s most exciting creative communities right now, the sky’s the limit for Liam, Tom and Teel Studios.
Tom and Liam’s college JMC Academy are currently accepting applications for their February, June and September intakes in 2018.
