Melbourne’s legendary Espy announces re-opening and live music plans

After closing up shop back in 2015, Melbourne’s iconic Esplanade Hotel (aka The Espy) will be reopening its doors this November.

And not only will the St Kilda hotel be serving cold beers, but they’ll also be serving up a selection of great homegrown and international music.

Following extensive renovations, Melbourne’s iconic Espy Hotel is set to reopen its doors this November… and they’ll be putting on live music.

The Espy has always been, and always will be, the home of live music in St Kilda,” the hotel’s website writes.

Peter Bain-Hogg, the creator of RockWiz, has signed on as the hotel’s Entertainment Manager.

We want The Espy to be a destination for music-lovers from Melbourne, Australia, and all over the world… a trusted venue where they will be able to hear leading local and international artists, and see up-and-coming artists cut their teeth,” he says.

The newly renovated venue will house a basement stage, public bar, and a garden terrace looking over St Kilda Pier.
