Ticketmaster Mexico is set to potentially face millions in fines over the recent Bad Bunny concert tickets fiasco.
Fans arrived at Bad Bunny’s “World’s Hottest Tour” over the weekend, only to be turned away. Despite having purchased their tickets legally through Ticketmaster, many were told that their tickets had been duplicated or “cloned,” meaning their ticket had already been used by someone else.
Over 1600 refund requests have been processed by the office of Mexico’s federal consumer office this week, as a result of this major ticketing issue. As result, Ticketmaster Mexico is set to face more fines, after more than a thousand shocked and disappointed fans were unable to enter Bad Bunny’s concert in Estadio Azteca over the weekend, after being told that their tickets were not valid.
Ricardo Sheffield, Mexico’s federal consumer attorney, said that his office has processed at least 1,600 refund requests from fans who bought legitimate tickets from Ticketmaster to attend the concert and couldn’t get in. ‘These fans are entitled to a full refund from Ticketmaster Mexico plus a “compensation of no less than 20% of the price paid” for their ticket, according to Sheffield’s office.’
The exact fine amount is expected to be announced later this week. Affected ticket holders are encouraged to file their complaints directly with the Ticketmaster service.

bad bunny has a sold out concert in mexico’s biggest stadium and yet the place is half empty, all because of ticketmaster shamelessly committing fraud. going to concerts isn’t fun anymore because you’re at risk of losing your seat at any time
