MF DOOM, your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper, has unveiled a box set reissue of his 1999 debut LP Operation: Doomsday.
Put together by Get On Down, upcoming masters of the rap reissue, the set features seven multi-coloured 7″ discs, a ton of new artwork from the original cover artist and even some snazzy, unique 45 adapters. It will be limited to 1,500 copies.
Operation: Doomsday is counting down to 2017, blasting through the gates as one of the tightest reissues we’ve ever seen.
MF DOOM’s weed-soaked, dusty timbre stands as a shining example of golden age hip-hop, ripe in ripped-out sampling and rhythms that are hard to fault.
The seven discs each come with a unique colour; Purple Transparent, Red Transparent, Lime Green Opaque, Orange Opaque, Yellow Transparent, Turquoise Opaque, and Classic Black.

The reissue also includes two 45 adaptors (picture above, bottom left), 3D renders of DOOM’s gladiator mask. Inside the box you’ll find a ton of new artwork from Lord Scotch, the original Operation: Doomsday cover artist.
