Mudhoney’s Australian tour sells out shows across the Country

Seminal Seattle four-piece Mudhoney is set to make a triumphant return to Australia next month, with shows already selling out all over the country as they embark on a mammoth tour spanning April and May.

Legendary Seattle rockers Mudhoney are set to make their long-awaited return to Australia next month, and it seems fans can hardly contain their excitement. With shows selling out left and right, the band’s upcoming tour is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated musical events of the year.

From Brisbane to Melbourne, Rye to Torquay, Castlemaine to Footscray, Mudhoney’s upcoming tour is quickly becoming the hottest ticket in town. Even Perth is only 20 tickets away from selling out, and Sydney, Adelaide, and Northcote aren’t far behind.

Opening acts for the tour include JJ McCann Transmission, who will kick off the sold-out show in Rye, and Seminal Rats, who will join Mudhoney for the almost-sold-out Northcote Social Club show.

This tour marks the band’s first Australian shows in nine years, and with headline performances scheduled across six states, as well as a handful of festival dates, it’s a tour not to be missed. The band is also set to release their highly anticipated new LP, ‘Plastic Eternity’, on April 7th via Subpop.

Mudhoney has been a driving force in the alternative rock scene for over three decades, with thirteen studio albums, five live records, and countless headline shows around the world. Their debut single, ‘Touch Me I’m Sick’, and the 1992 hit ‘Suck You Dry’, cemented their place as pioneers of the late 80s and early 90s grunge explosion, with their sound serving as an instrumental foundation of the era.

Their music is as relevant and necessary today as it was when they first burst onto the scene. With their signature skuzz-rock rebellious, underground sound, Mudhoney delivers contrarian, politically charged, anti-sentimental musings that will both wake you up and put a smile on your face.

In addition to their headline shows, Mudhoney is also set to perform at The Gum Ball, where they will headline alongside Party Dozen and Flowertruck, as well as another eleven specially selected acts.
