A ‘Museum of Erotic Art’ is coming to Sydney!

The sex-perts over at Lovehoney have just announced a very exciting erotic exhibition hitting Sydney this month.

Paving the way for sexual wellness and enjoyment, Lovehoney are aiming to create a little bit of magic in this year’s festive season, through a new erotic gallery.

The pop-up Museum of Erotic Art will run for two days and feature work from 10 local artists.

The exhibition will make its home at Sydney hotspot, Chin Chin, with the $80 tickets including a 3-course bespoke dining experience and drink package.

An exclusive launch event is set to take place on the 30th of November, hosted by Sexologist and Lovehoney ambassador, Chantelle Otten.

The evening will include an open panel discussion featuring a variety of presenting artists.

The Museum of Erotic Art is currently taking public bookings for both the lunch and dinner sessions to be held on the 1th of December.

For this exhibition to be made possible nine artists commissioned works all based on sexual pleasure and expression.

The tenth piece comes from Kim Leutwyler, an artist who has donated an existing piece to be featured at the gallery.

Lovehoney’s Australian director, Rob Godwin spoke out about the event saying,  “We want to add a little extra magic and sparkle to the festive season and we believe following lengthy lockdowns across Australia, a pop-up museum that provides Aussies with a unique experience does just that.

The silly season is one for giving and Lovehoney are doing just that. Each artist has been asked to select a charity or cause that is near and dear to them.

Each piece of art will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the respective artist’s charity.

London artist Sophie Tea has donated a piece to be exhibited in the gallery and auctioned off. She will also be attending the launch event and feature on the panel with 8 other exhibiting artists.

Can’t make it to Syndey?? No ticket is necessary to participate in the bidding with the auction taking place online from the 30th of November to the 15th of December.

To add to this generosity, Lovehoney will also split ticket sales evenly between the nominated charities.

The artists and their chosen charities are as follows:

Bianca Beers – White Ribbon
Shani Finch – Support Act
Christine Yahya (Pink Bits) – Black Rainbow
Ailie Banks – The Scarlet Alliance
Jeff McCann – Chloe’s Gender Affirmation Journey
Helena Elias – Women’s Community Shelters
Mikka Hendra – White Ribbon
Erika Owens – MINUS18
Kim Leutwyler – UNHCR
Christina Cerqueira – National Breast Cancer Foundation
