Recently it was announced that not one but two theatrical releases about Amy Winehouse are in the works. One is a multi-million dollar biopic about her life story. The other is a documentary on the story behind the making of her final studio album, Back to Black.
We have already seen a trailer for the latter, but now some never before seen footage of the singer performing live has emerged ahead of the film’s release.
Watch a never before seen clip of Amy Winehouse performing live to a small group of friends and family in 2008 on the same night she won five Grammy.
The clip features Winehouse performing Love Is A Losing Game at London’s Riverside Studios. The show was held on February 10th, 2008 – the same night she claimed five Grammys – and was held privately for her friends, family and a select group of music industry figures.
The entire performance, titled An Intimate Evening in London, will be released as a bonus feature alongside Black To Black. Watch the clip below.
The new doc features “previously unseen footage of Amy”, interviews with collaborators Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, among other musicians who worked on the album. It will be released by Eagle Vision on November 2nd and is now available for preorder.
