Newtown Festival, a yearly favourite for Inner Westies all shapes and sizes, have unveiled the full program for their 2017 event. Chockas with the usual cohort of music, art, food and culture, we’re already counting down the days.
This year Sarah Blasko and Newtown based booking agents Nathan Farrell Entertainment threw their hands into the musical booking. Staying true to the festival’s roots, the lineup is 100 percent local.
Newtown Festival have unveiled their 2017 lineup full of tasty eats, yummy drinks and some even more scrumptious live music.
A host of Sydney legends including groove masters The Goods and Italo-disco infernos Gauci dot the lineup, bringing the fresh electronic rhythms alongside local favourite Mezko.
Meanwhile Cody Munro Moore, Food Court and I Know Leopard promise good-hearted band vibes. There’s something for everyone at Newtown Festival.

Heaps Gay will also be putting on a karaoke tent, so prep your best Bohemian Rhapsody and saunter along if you’re up for it.
On the food front, a slew of 2042 faves will be filling your bellies including 212 Blue, Rising Sun Workshop, Mary’s, The Stinking Bishops and more. Of course, you can expect to see more than a few Young Henrys brews floating around too.
