A new season of Stranger Things isn’t the only special treat we’re getting from the 80’s nostalgic franchise this year – they’re about to release a Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game.
The Stranger Things D&D Starter Set is reminiscent of the old version of the red-boxed game, but with two Demogorgan miniatures (one of which is left unpainted for you to customise). Just like the usual game, it’s got a slim manual, a handful of pre-made character sheets, an adventure for the Dungeon Master’s eyes only, and a set of polyhedral dice. If you’ve ever been to the Phandalin and back, you’ll know exactly what to expect.
The game’s got all the bells and whistles of the original D&D, with a small twist: the content itself is pulled straight from the opening scene of Stranger Things, where the boys play the game in Mike’s basement.
