Palace gifts us a sweet way to see out the year with the three track gem ‘Part II – Nightmares & Ice Cream’
As we wave goodbye to 2023, London’s own Palace wraps up their two-part EP series with “Part II – Nightmares & Ice Cream.”
This three-track EP, produced by Adam Jaffrey (known for working with Loyle Carner and Tom Misch), is the perfect follow on from Part 1, that sees Palace’s growth and focus on full display.
“Nightmares & Ice Cream” starts with ‘Rabid Dog,’ a chill vibe that sets the tone for a laid-back sonic journey. The standout single, ‘Make You Proud,’ works its magic, showcasing Palace’s knack for stirring emotions with their music.
The title track, ‘Nightmares & Ice Cream,’ creates a dreamy atmosphere, giving us a moment to reflect on the past year. Lead singer Leo Wyndham sums it up as a “hazy chapter of intense reflection.”
Buddies from way back, the band first caught attention with their 2014 debut EP, “Lost In The Night,” followed by “Chase The Light” the next year. Three albums later, including 2022’s “Shoals,” its safe to say they have gathered fans worldwide.
As they close the curtain on 2023, Palace stands tall knowing they have confidently nailed their musical journey, and in the process made a solid connection with their fans globally.
