Pokémon TCG has revealed the final expansion of the Sword & Shield chapter of the tabletop game, titled Crown Zenith.
The new expansion honours the Galar region with a selection of new cards and sets, as well as a subset Galarian Gallery of 70 cards. It marks the last expansion of the Sword & Shield edition, and is set for worldwide release on January 20, 2023. Also included in the expansion are the standard V, VMAX, VSTAR, and Supporter cards.
The Crown Zenith special editions will also feature unique illustrations showcasing the best that the Galar region has to offer. Pokémon has confirmed that this set will include staple characters like Mewtwo VSTAR, Darkrai VSTAR, and Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR. According to the Pokémon website, the Sword & Shield expansion set is expected to feature additional cards including 17 V Pokemon cards, 5 VMAX Pokemon cards, 8 VSTAR Pokemon cards, as well as Radiant Charizard, Radiant Charjabug, and Radiant Eternatus.

Pokémon has also shared the rollout plans in place for the release of its Crown Zenith expansion. January 20 will see the expansion’s Elite Trainer Box available for collection, followed by the release of the Crown Zenith Mini Tins in February and the Crown Zenith Pin Collection in April. The Crown Zenith Premium Playmat Collection arrives the same month, before the expansion finished with the release of the Premium Figure Collection in May.
Crown Zenith will mark the final expansion of the Sword and Shield chapter, as Pokémon begins to make way for the upcoming Scarlet & Violet card series.
