Pokemon Go became available to the Aussie public less than a week ago, and it seems half of the population has fallen under it’s spell, including The Stiffys who released a jangle pop track Pokemon Go Song, yesterday in the games’ honour.
You may have yourself a new found addiction, but The Stiffys have made it clear they’re in the same boat, with new track The Pokemon Go Song
According to the guys, they found themselves spending a little too much of their recording time playing the game, when their producer Steven Schram suggested they make a song about it.
The fun track tells the (oh-too-relatable) story of a relationship with a girl whose obsession with the game has reached ridiculous heights.
“She’s walking out in traffic while she’s on her game/ Jumping on the brakes while we’re in the fast lane/ She doesn’t want to call me, she just wants to train/ She’s on another level that I can’t explain.”
Considering the time these guys had to get turn this track around, and get it out to us folks, the quality is something to be applauded.
A quality song for all the Pokemon Go addicts, and enthusiasts to revel in.
The Stiffys are less than two months out from their massive Art Rock Two In 3D national tour, with the EP due to be released next month.
