Over the weekend four out of five original members of Powderfinger played together for the first time since breaking up back in 2010.
Bernard Fanning, Ian Haug and John Collins all graced the stage alongside Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton as he launched his new solo record Splinter at the Triffid in Brisbane on Saturday night. Each member played a separate track with Middleton before all four took to the stage to play a cover of Neil Young‘s Like A Hurricane.
“This is not a reunion, folks. We’ve discussed this, we’ve had this conversation. This is just a bit of fun – something we used to do a long time ago,” Darren told the crowd. Check out some footage below.
