Having spent the last number of months wreaking havoc around the country with notorious Texan lunatics Dress Up, Sydney’s own group of punk maniacs C.O.F.F.I.N are back with Drug Baby; their first new music of 2019.
Drug Baby is the also the first taste the band’s new EP Be Gone, which is set to drop through The Chats’ new record label Bargain Bin Records this Friday.
Fresh off their manic Hellride tour with Dress Up, Sydney punks C.O.F.F.I.N are back with their wild new music video for Drug Baby.
Filmed by Josef ‘Melvin’ Lane and Nicholas ‘Nuisance’ Leighton, and edited by the band’s own Ben Portnoy, the new clip sees C.O.F.F.I.N garbed in adult diapers and soaked in blood.
The track itself is a punchy, two-minute slab of thrashy punk. With Portnoy’s wailing vocals and the band’s blistering instrumentation, Drug Baby‘s sonic energy perfectly matches the chaos of its accompanying video.
Be Gone will be out this Friday, and judging by this new single, I’m sure we can safely expect plenty more great tunes. In the meantime, do yourself a favour and watch the new video for Drug Baby above.
If you wanna catch the band performing the track’s live, they’ll be playing alongside TSOL at the following dates:
August 8th – Crown & Anchor Hotel, Adelaide
August 9th – Crowbar, Sydney
August 10th – Stay Gold, Melbourne
