Imagine sitting on a secluded beach, sipping a cold beer in the sun-drenched tranquility of a Sunday afternoon. This is what listening to Crazy, the new single from Ducks. feels like.
On the tune Ducks. breezes through a gauzy mesh of hallucinatory psych and dance with a loveable charm that matches Mac Demarco’s, to deliver a song that will seep deep into your bones.
With danceable rhythms and undeniably catchy melodies, Ducks.’ infectious new track Crazy is a slice of fuzzed-out surf perfection.
In its verses, Crazy features a 13/8 time signature, adding to the dreamy and surreal nature of the synth-driven song.
Originally from NSW’s Shell Harbour, Ducks. moved to Sydney’s inner-west about a year and a half ago – and thankfully he brought with him bounds of the South Coast’s infectious and surfy vibes.
With a string of singles and an EP already behind him, Ducks. is well versed in creating catchy pieces of indie-surf, with 2015 single Wasted Days even scoring play on triple j.
To help him recreate the psych-dance feel of his recordings, Ducks. has put together a band that guarantee a chaotic live show.
