Throughout the new single, Luxe Trader stomps through a blistering blend of electronica, punk, and prog to craft a sound completely his own. With thunderous drum beats, crunching guitars, and brutal synth stabs, Are You Serious? is a complete smack in the face. We never knew such a thing could feel so good.
As the track progresses, so too does a real sense of chaos. Across its sub-three-minute run-time, the song pulls in myriad directions—it never sits in one place for too long. This, however, is the song’s most captivating quality.
By the time Are You Serious? reaches its conclusion, you’ll have been roped in completely by Luxe Trader’s brutal sounds.
