Prove that our city’s culture is alive and kicking at Rattle Sydney, a new festival ready to rock the suburbs this October

If you’ve been feeling a little down on Sydney’s nightlife lately, you’re not alone. Despite a successful class-action lawsuit overturning the lockout laws for some venues over the weekend, there is no doubt the city’s live music scene has been somewhat suffocated.

Enter Rattle Sydney, a picture of the city’s culture as it should be. Whether or not you agree that Sydney has lost it’s fire, this is one festival that everyone should get behind.

A free, celebratory gig in honour of the city’s amazing culture, Rattle Sydney is the proof that our music and arts scene is a live, roaring beast.

Hosted at The Botany View Hotel on the 1st and 2nd of October, this gig will be one to hit for any punters that have been getting behind similar ideologies such as Keep Sydney Open. With a pretty sick lineup to boot, there’s no reason not to head down.

So break the status quo and fight the negative discourse surrounding Sydney’s culture in a month’s time. There will be music, art, comedy, activists and entrepreneurs from the forefront of the city’s beating heart to hang out with, and getting in the door of this non-profit event won’t cost you a cent.

Check out the first lineup below, with more to come in two weeks time.
