‘Rainbow Six Siege’ is going free-to-play on Xbox Game Pass

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will soon be free with discounts to in-game purchases for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

What has a misleading title and is going free for over 15 million people? That’s right, Rainbow Six Siege. Featuring high-level tactics and multi-dimensional gameplay, Microsoft is about to entice a whole heap of players to begin their FPS journey on hell mode.

Right in the middle of the epic battle between the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, one side has definitely made it a lot sweeter with this juicy deal. But how do we know this?

Combining every last brain cell and IQ point on the Happy Mag team, we have successfully deciphered the cryptic message within this riddling tweet:

Six rainbows? A medieval siege? Unless this game is called Age of Empires: Family Friendly Rainbow Edition or something, we’re willing to bet one trebuchet that this tweet actually refers to Rainbow Six Siege.

So now that we’ve deduced which game is coming to the Xbox Game Pass (it was later confirmed by Xbox but you’re welcome for the exposition), how do you know this is a game you’ll want to play? After all, Rainbow Six Siege has a reputation for a steep learning curve and an insane amount of gameplay interactions. But, just hear us out for the moment.

The game is hard but also incredibly fulfilling. Its entry-level difficulty can be overcome with a little dedication. Whether it be gun mechanics or tactical decisions, players are given a plethora of tools to overcome each scenario. Every victory within this game feels well deserved and each defeat becomes a learning experience.

To anyone with time on their hands, we strongly recommend giving this tactical FPS a go.
