Rihanna drops new music release date

Rihanna is set to make a long-awaited return to music with ‘Black Panther’ movie sequel.

Rihanna has announced the release date for her new single, Lift Me Up: New music for Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. Taking to Twitter this morning, the RnB queen has shared that brand-new music is coming this Friday, October 28.

Following the headlining announcement for the NFL Super Bowl halftime show next February, and being hella busy with a newborn baby (as yet named), her first child with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna will be releasing a new song Lift Me Up this week.

Following in the footsteps of Kendrick Lamar and SZA, the track will be taken from the soundtrack to Marvel’s upcoming movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This comes after much speculation and rumors that Rihanna has recorded a song for the movie’s end credits.

In 2018, Kendrick Lamar and SZA released the closing credits soundtrack for the first Black Panther movie; All The Stars, which became a Top five selling single.

If you are keen to get your Marvel on, Black Panther style, the three following songs have been released by Marvel as part of the EP titled ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Prologue’. Have listen below:
