Following a successful collaboration with Kanye West for Donda and releasing LIVE LIFE FAST last year, Roddy Ricch has returned…
Roddy Ricch is back in the form of a 3-song EP, The Big 3, and a video for his single, Real Talk, which sees the Diamond certified rapper in the desert in all black, leather pants worn proudly. Of course with some Balenciaga sunglasses for added effect.
The song, produced by long-time collaborator, Mustard, and the video directed by, Colin Tilley, sees Ricch return with even more energy. Clearly not empty of inspiration since LIVE LIFE FAST, the EP and video in unison show Ricch has plenty left to say and show, respectively.
While in the desert, the video’s clarity is definitely unique. The glamour and opulence are expected but it doesn’t take away from the appeal or style. It’s truly cinematic and the colours are vibrant.
With the release of this new work, the timing is perfect. It comes ahead of an eagerly anticipated run as a special guest on Post Malone’s upcoming Twelve Carat Tour throughout the United States. The tour follows Ricch’s recent performance alongside Post Malone for their joint track, Cooped Up, on Saturday Night Live.
Roddy Ricch is no stranger to the scene. LIVE LIFE FAST only propelled him further, but it was Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, from 2019 which made his name known to the masses. Following the release were a mere 3 Grammy Award nominations and RIAA diamond-certified #1 classic for The Box, which exploded onto the Billboard charts at #1 for “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums”.
