Ready for Record Store Day 2018? Run The Jewels have been announced as the official ambassadors for this year’s event, so you can bet they’ll cook up something special.

Run The Jewels have a running history with Record Store Day, rarely failing to tee up their own special releases around the event. The bizarre announcement video below hints at what their 2018 effort could be; a box set (presumably Run The Jewels 3) plus a 12″ single featuring remixes and new material.

“When I became a part of the music scene, I knew that I wanted to be someone who was a part of that culture,” El-P told Rolling Stone.

“Because places like Fat Beats Records in New York City were cornerstones of the community – and that’s what we appreciate about the record stores. You’re not just some place to press a button to get a song.”

Check out the announcement video below, if you’re prepared for some weirdness.
