Secret Christmas album by Paul McCartney for his family’s ears only

Paul McCartney has become synonymous with good music, it’s as simple as that. It doesn’t really matter what style or whether it’s original he just seems to create gold whenever he chooses.

It’s sad that he is willing to record an album, with classic Christmas carols and keep it only for his family, but that’s all a part of the charm of The Beatles icon.

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney will be having a very Merry Christmas. His new, family only, Christmas demo, is not for the ears of us mere plebs.

Like most of us, Christmas is an important time of year for family and friends, and what we often forget is the people will look up to, are first of all human. Yes, even The Beatles. But unlike most of us, we probably won’t get a new Beatles style version of Jingle Bells for Christmas like McCartney’s family will.

He has kept close to his chest what will be on the album but has mentioned: “I thought I’d quite like to do something traditional and simple and easy with all the ‘Good King Wenceslas’ and all of that.”

It’s hard to imagine, but McCartney’s Christmas celebrations seem quite tame. He spoke to BBC Radio 4 talking about the light fun nature of his families celebration after showing them the annual family carol demo “It’s fun. We have a few little things like that. Then there’s the booze — and it’s all very jolly.”

Good on you Paul, but maybe show us the record…

Sincerely, Everyone.
