Iconic microphone manufacturer Shure and audio streaming service Mixcloud have enlisted 4 industry-leading curators to create Shure24. It’s a list of 24 artists, podcasters, instrument creators and more that are redefining the boundaries of audio creation.
The list of 24 are also eligible for Audience Choice Awards (anyone can participate in the voting from today). The four creators that garner the most votes will receive a mentoring session with one of the curators of the list and an opportunity to create a podcast about their experience.
Meet the Shure24: the definitive list of creators that are pushing the limits of audio. The list was curated by Holly Herndon, James Lavelle, Santigold and Yuri Suzuki.
The curators of the list include the critically acclaimed Berlin-based electronic Holly Herndon. James Lavelle is also on board, best recognised as the founder of UNKLE. Innovative pop artist Santigold is part of the curation team as well as Yuri Suzuki, a Japanese audio installation artist and inventor.
Paul Crognale of Shure commented:
“We created Shure24 not only to celebrate these individuals and their own accomplishments but to provide a platform that also serves as a global support network for the next generation of audio pioneers.”
Kazim Rashid of Mixcloud added:
“We at Mixcloud exist to amplify culture and communities globally. The time is ripe for us to be joining forces with Shure to launch this new platform for the next generation of creators.”
