Spice Girls, the biggest girl band of the 90s take us back in time with a new music video. You go Gurls.
The Spice Girls have released a new version of their iconic Spice Up Your Life video to mark the 25th anniversary of their sophomore album. The three-minute clip has been created wholly from unseen footage from the original video shoot.
Spice up Your Life was part of their 1997 multi-million-selling second album Spiceworld which featured some of the group’s biggest singles, including Too Much and Stop.
Spice Up Your Life has become one of the group’s most iconic tracks with its positive themes, and dance floor sensibilities, it’s no surprise the single topped the UK Singles Chart back in the day, making it the band’s fifth consecutive number one at the time.
Reports are emerging of a potential Spice Girls reunion tour, with plans to hit the road and play a run of stadium concerts across the UK and Ireland in 2023 that could include Beckham (Posh Spice). However, further, shows are yet to be officially announced.
Mel C has shared via ABC: “I wish I could say there were shows coming. But I can’t, sadly. We do want to do shows, they’re just not arranged yet.”
She continued: “We’re constantly talking trying to work it out and make it work for everybody. But that yeah, that’s my number one wish.”
Fans are beyond excited about the re-release of the music video, sharing their delight via Twitter:
