If you binge-watched the first season in its first week like I did, you’ve now been waiting one year and three months for Stranger Things season two. It hurts!
Now it’s only four days away and in case you weren’t already hyped to unhealthy levels, the full soundtrack has been revealed.
Warm up for Stranger Things season two with the full soundtrack, a 34-track wonderland courtesy of the original composers.
It’s a returning effort for composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of S U R V I V E, who blew the world away with the first season’s OST. Wanting to adhere to their winning formula, they once again scored the show based off director’s cuts rather than a storyboard or script.
“In Season 2 we’re introducing new styles of composition, while still revisiting old themes when appropriate,” Dixon and Stein previously said in a statement.
“We’ve created new elements that are necessary to support the story, but still want to remain true to the sound of Season 1.”
Listen to the soundtrack below. It’s familiar territory for sure, but the composers are absolutely not lying about a few surprises throughout the tracklist.
Stranger Things season two will be available on October 27th.
