Summer Flake returns with hypnotic new single Shoot and Score and announces forthcoming album details

After finishing strong in 2015 with her acclaimed EP, Time Rolls By, singer-songwirter Stephanie Crase, aka Summer Flake, is returning to full-length territory for the second time with Hello Friends, due out in April 2016 which is led by single Shoot and Score, a cut that sounds like Crase at her musical and lyrical best.

Straight as an arrow lyrics riding a wave of 90’s tinged fuzzed-out guitars and a knack for a clever hook honed over the years have defined Stephanie Crase as one of the songwriters to watch this year. Drawing comparisons to some of the greats of the past few decades from Hole‘s brutally honest grunge to Mac Demarco’s cozy summer lullabies is no small feat but these wide-ranging influences are heard consistently through Crase’s songwriting. Produced by Geoffery O’Connor, Hello Friends promises to be another foray into Crase’s honesty and music in which her personality is so deeply ingrained, it’s as if she’s in the room with you musing on life, love and loneliness.
