Members of the local music industry will band together on Saturday, October 7 to celebrate inclusivity for Women in Music Empowerment Day, 2018.

The live panel, facilitated by journalist Paige Leacey, will feature Cloud Control’s Heidi Leffner, Mellum PR founder Udaravi Widanapathirana, Audiopaxx’s Helena Ho and DJ and event producer Ayebatonye. It will discuss the obstacles faced by non-male members of the music community, as well as workshopping ways to embrace inclusivity and create safe spaces for all performers.
Acts gracing the Miss Peaches’ stage for the day include Arig, Al-Dente, Lady King, Harley Mavis, Mothers Club, Good Pash, Jannah Beth, Clarissa Mei, Temy, Freda Frequency, C Sauce, Deep Tan, Isa and Caitlin Medcalf, with live performance art by Jen Brady and Morus Quinn.
The event, curated in collaboration with by Deeper Than House, Stayfly Sydney, Yeah The Girls, Coven Presents, Nap Girls and Bedrock Collective, will announce more performers and panellists in the coming weeks.
