PREMIERE: The Little Lord Street Band are fixin’ to steal your heart with their latest EP

WA outfit The Little Lord Street Band celebrate all that is beautiful about rock, blues, pop and country with their third EP Waking Up Next To You.

As Western Australian’s Best Country Act of 2017, The Little Lord Street Band feature some of the most respected indie, roots and Americana writers, singers and performers from the west coast. Clear musical touchstones are found in the iconic classic rock, country and alternative sounds of Fleetwood Mac, Edward Sharpe, Johnny Cash, Crowded House, The Eagles, Patsy Cline and Crosby Stills and Nash.

The Little Lord Street Band

Waking Up Next To You from The Little Lord Street Band is a light-hearted and wholesome country rock experience, yet still sizzling enough to keep you warm and your heart aflutter.

On the release, the five-piece channel classic electric guitar and multi-part male and female harmonies, with lyrics so popping it will have you breaking into the Nutbush.

The underlying theme of the EP follows a passionate fight sparked between two lovers with too much spare time and little money. The feel-good tracks explore and poke fun at the all too familiar tension of a couple’s bickering sesh.

Featuring two previously released singles in Heartache Moon and Maybe I’m Just In Love, the six-track EP also includes a Patsy Cline cover of Too Many Secrets. Slow-burning love tale Truth Be Told is harboured by a deeper tone, while a smooth vocal timbre and honky tonk vibe marks Misunderstood.

The band pride themselves on their brand of fun and moreish sounds – so it’s no surprise that reception of their jams is enduring as ever.

The EP marks the third for the group, following Walk With Me in 2016. Having since supported acts including The Whitlams, Ruby Boots and Jack Carty, there is no doubting their magical appeal.

The Little Lord Street Band are taking their sweet country tunes on the road, making their way through across three states throughout April and May. Check out the details for their Waking Up Next To You National EP Tour below.
