It goes without saying that Instagram is an invaluable tool for artists to connect directly with fans by sharing visual content. But when it comes to sharing audio, it kind of misses the mark. Developer/Redditor Leemartin has sought to amend that with a new app they developed called Turn.

Sharing his new creation to the WeAreTheMusicMakers subreddit, the developer wrote:
“I’m very excited to share a new app I’ve been working on which helps you share music on Instagram and anywhere that allows video posting. It’s call Turn and it takes an MP3 and JPG file and creates a new video with a rotating visual of your artwork. I hope you find this useful and I’m very much looking forward to any feedback you may have. Good luck with your music!”
It’s super simple to use. All you do is input the artwork you want, choose a background colour, upload the audio and generate the file. From there you can upload it straight to your Instagram feed. In the end, it will look something like this:
When uploading the audio, the app automatically cuts it down to 60 seconds so it can be uploaded to Instagram. So if you have a preferred snippet, you’ve got to create that beforehand.
