Earlier in the year, world-renowned street artist Banksy opened a hotel in the city of Bethlehem, directly next to the controversial West Bank Wall that has separated Palestine from Israel since 2002.
Among the original art that litters the hotel, it was revealed that music co-composed by the Academy and Grammy Award winning power duo of Nine Inch Nails bandleader Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross would soundtrack the building. You can listen to one of their tracks below.
Composition powerhouses Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have revealed a single song from their latest collaboration, the soundtrack to Banksy’s Bethlehem Hotel.
Green Lines is a piano track showcasing Ross and Resznor’s proven affinity for the subtle. In the hotel, this song and their other compositions will play on an automated mechanical piano, just in case this whole ordeal wasn’t giving you enough of a Westworld vibe already.
Reznor and Ross have previously worked together on multiple film scores, taking home awards for their work on The Social Network in 2010 and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in 2013. You can also blame them for how stressed out you felt throughout the bulk of Gone Girl.
Thankfully, this is a little more easygoing. Have a listen.
