Universal Music Publishing Australia has just signed a global deal with local producer Andrew Burford, known to the music community as One Above. Hilltop Hoods may know Burford as the keyboardist for the hip-hop collective, collaborating on their early hit I Love It featuring Sia as well as serving as co-writer for three of their songs on their monster hit album Walking Under Stars.
“Collaborating with others has always been my greatest source of inspiration” said Bruford. “I’m excited to be developing relationships with both locally and internationally with the Universal Music Publishing network”
Heath Johns, Universal Music Publishing Australia Director of A&R, said of the signing “We are excited to welcome such an ambitious, hardworking and creative writer to our roster and look forward to helping him expose his work to a global audience over the coming years”.
When he isn’t working with the Hoods Burford, a talented multi-instrumentalist in his own right has also worked with the likes of Illy, Allday and Chance Waters.
