The festival introduces a new venue, the Machine Hall Precinct, for live performances, including artists like Deerhoof, Jen Cloher, and No Fixed Address.
Vivid Ideas, a cornerstone of the festival, will offer not only traditional panel discussions and conferences but also interactive experiences such as ‘After The Fact,’ a nightly deep-dive into current affairs, and ‘A THOUSAND WAYS: An Encounter,’ a unique one-on-one performance experience.
Delving into societal perspectives, Vivid Sydney explores the history and challenges of sex work in Australia’s red-light district with an immersive experience.
The festival also hosts ‘Golden Age of Humanity,’ featuring film screenings and discussions with influential Australians.
Vivid Food, in its second year, celebrates the diverse culinary landscape of Sydney and New South Wales. Highlights include the return of Vivid Fire Kitchen in a new location, A Culinary Canvas by Danielle Alvarez, Plates with Purpose offering a taste of Ukraine, and the VividPlace Food Trail featuring over 20 top chefs and restaurateurs.
