Two months from its highly anticipated release, Disney has just dropped the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker and its absolutely out of this world.
The Rise Of Skywalker is the final chapter of the nine-part Skywalker saga that began in 1977 with A New Hope, and the third instalment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, after 2015’s The Force Awakens and 2017’s The Last Jedi.
The final trailer for the last instalment of the Star Wars saga – Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker – has been unveiled, and boy is this going to be intense.
Nailing the finale for a saga that has been going for more than 40 years will be no small feat, something that Director J.J. Abrams is very much aware of. According to Entertainment Weekly, Abrams said that “endings are the thing that scare me the most.”
“This is about bringing this thing to a close in a way that is emotional and meaningful and also satisfying in terms of actually answering [as many] questions as possible,” Abrams tells EW. “So if years from now, someone’s watching these movies, all nine of them, they’re watching a story that is as cohesive as possible.”
The final trailer for The Rise Of Skywalker was released today and one thing is for sure – it’s going to be huge. Essentially, it looks like things are going to come down to a monumental battle between Rey and Kylo Ren, while other members of the Resistance, including Poe Dameron, Finn, and BB-8 fight for the future of the universe.
