If we’ve learned anything from contemporary art, it’s that anything can be turned into a piece. Recycling, and turning trash to treasure has been a common theme amongst artists, and it carries a great message; with the world shifting to more sustainable lifestyles, why not turn something we’d otherwise throw out into art?
Taking logs or firewood and arranging them into sculptures and larger installations, the following pieces attempt to give life to something which has been cut from it’s original source.
These artists have brought discarded wood back to nature by piling logs together like an intricate mosaic, using different shades, shapes and textures.
